The Lisa Marie Naegle Case: Reality TV Star Murdered After A Night Of Partying

Lisa Marie Naegle (36) was best known for appearing on the reality TV show called Bridalplasty. On the show, twelve women competed to win their dream wedding, in addition to transformative plastic surgeries. After the show, she pursued a nursing degree and became a nursing instructor at a Los Angeles college.

On December 18th, 2016, she left her husband at home while she attended a friend’s birthday party at a bar. She told her husband that she would be going to the party with her brother, but her brother told her that he was too tired to go. Therefore, she ended up attending the gathering with her former nursing student, Jackie Jerome Rogers.

By 1:00am, Lisa left the party with Jackie and went to get some late night food.

The next day, Lisa’s co-worker called her husband to ask why she never showed up to work. A family friend offered the idea of looking at surveillance from the bar which ultimately gave police their most solid lead. They were able to piece together that Lisa’s last moments consisted of getting into Jackie’s car. Lisa’s family — mother, sister, and brother — invited Jackie over to their home for some intense questioning. Her brother even took it upon himself to inspect Jackie’s hands.

“I don’t have anything to hide from anyone. I’ll do anything for her like I’m dead serious” he told her family. During the questioning, Jackie confessed to having an affair with Lisa despite posing as her gay friend for so long.

However, Lisa’s sister and husband don’t believe that particular confession. Also while there, he attempted to say that he never left with Lisa, but that was easily proven as wrong with the surveillance footage.

Police arrived and did their own questioning with Jackie. It didn’t take long before he admitted to bludgeoning Lisa in the head 7 times with a hammer as she ate her food. Then he drove her body to the house he shared with his mother, washed her body with bleach, and buried her in the backyard. His motive for killing her was never revealed.

“The only thing I can think is he became obsessed with her”, said her sister.

In April of 2019, Jackie Rogers was sentenced to 26 years to life in prison for first degree murder.
